Swat Post (19 September 2014): The Swat Valley is in grip of dengue and the number of patients reached 180 according to the statistics given by the health department and the hospital sources.
The most recent case came to the hospital today (19 September 2014), a man namely Sher Bahar (age 30) a resident of Saidu Sharif reached to the hospital and he was found dengue positive.
The source hospital sources says that currently the dengue positive five patients are under treatment at the hospital including four male and one female, while rest of the patients are discharged after necessary treat and advises during the year the figure reached to 180,

The ratio of the patients is high in the Mingora City and its outskirts, the area’ statistics were with much higher as compare to the figures of last year (2013) which were in thousands.
The surveillance project of the WHO says that in October the temperature will fall in Sway, hence the chances of fever would be down as the freezing temperature at nighttime will help in it.
The experts says that this epidemic situation will continue for three consecutive years, downfall of which will be starting after completion of three epidemic years ( i.e., 2013 to 2015

4 VDC members killed in the 12 hours in Swat on 15 September 2014.
According to details in an incident at Kabal a VDC member
Zahir Shah was killed by unknown persons in Kabal while he was on the way to
his duty at school.
In another incident a VDC member Parveiz was killed by
unknown men in Buner Gokand area while he was waiting for someone at Gokand
area. He was brother of late VDC member Adalat Khan – he was also killed in an
attack this year.
In a third incident 2 friends and members of the VDC members
namely Farid and Muhammad Zeb Khan, the two were on their way from Masjid to their
respective homes and were killed in a firing by unknown person according to the
local sources.
